The Real Strike Zone

The Real Strike Zone is a back to basics approach to pitching, sound safe mechanics, development of pitches and control and how to attack hitters.

Baseball appears to be a rather simple sport, throw the ball, hit the ball and catch the ball. The deeper you get into it, however, the sooner you realize it is a very complex game. Unfortunately, most people don’t know where to begin, who to talk to, or when they’re getting good or bad information.

That’s why I’m here. With over twenty-five years of experience in teaching, coaching, and many more years playing, I feel my experience with coaches, players and students of the game from the major league level on down will benefit not only the young ballplayer, but the veteran as well. I teach the basics as well as educate about the game itself. This involves not only the what’s, but the whys.

There are many theories on how to teach pitching and I’m well aware of how things are being taught today. You can be confident I’m familiar with and recognize the pros and cons of these techniques and will discuss them with you.

Baseball should be exciting, productive and most of all fun, no matter what the age. If you are not taught how to succeed, or the right way to play this very challenging game, productivity and enjoyment won’t take place.

With that in mind, it’s my goal to teach the proper way to play this great game of baseball, which will lead to successful seasons and ultimately successful careers. If you have the desire to reach your maximum potential The Real Strike Zone will help you get there.

Thank You

Jan Sumner
